Coming Up in Little River

Looks like the weather is going to be good for THE LITTLE RIVER FLOWER POWER GARDEN TRAIL  to  be held on Sunday and Monday of this weekend Labour Weekend. 

Explore 15 gardens and more. From the beach-side gems of Birdlings Flat to the lush valleys of Little River; visit growers of proteas, herbs and hazelnuts; wander the grounds of Wairewa Homestead; buy native plants from our community nursery and check out the cinema in a back garden.  Tickets $15 per adult, children free. Available from Little River Craft Station (open daily) and eventfin...da…/little…/christchurch-district  Proceeds to benefit community groups.

As part of the garden Tour the Living Streams Nursery will be open to purchase your selection of native plants and Revival Clothing have a fabulous range  of  wedding gowns on display in St Andrews Church, The Church on the Hill.  Okuti Hall will be open for you to take a moment to relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Old School and enjoy a coffee or tea and cake put on by the members of the club as a fundraiser for their lovely new kitchen. They will have a plant sale too.


23 October – Monday – Labour Day – AN AFTERNOON AT FRENCH PEAK WINERY – Afternoon Tea and Wine Pairings – at French Peak Vineyard in French Farm 12pm to 3pm.  $25.00 per head. Pop in for an afternoon sitting in the sun eating cake and tasting wine in the glorious surroundings of the vineyard.   Please contact us to make a booking if you would like to join us contact 0223079974/ 3046708 or 021 02956043 

and finally a reminder the SENIORS HUI – 11- 2.00pm on Sunday the 29 October  at the Little River Marae.  For  you, your  friends and family.  Under 5’s and over 50’s.
